  • Qatari nationals visiting Albania should avoid travelling to areas where there is cultivation of narcotic plants abound.
  • Qatari citizens should avoid being in the vicinity of demonstrations or rallies organized by political or others. Protests can be large and occasionally turn violent.
  • In case of residing or staying for a long period of time in Albania, Qatari citizens should give their personal contact to the Embassy, so it can communicate with them in case of any emergency.
  • Visitors shall remain vigilant in public places and attentive to their surroundings, and follow the instruction of the local authorities.
  • Pay very close attention to your personal belongings, and not leave your luggage unattended in public places.
  • Before traveling abroad, We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance that will cover any overseas medical costs

How to communicate with the embassy in case of emergency

The embassy offers help to Qatari nationals who face emergency situations twenty-four hours a day.
The following cases represent emergencies:

Death, injury or illness, loss of financial resources necessary to return home, disappearance of a person, or arrest of a Qatari citizen

What to do when a person loses his passport during his visit to the Republic of Albania?

  • The passport is one of the most important documents that should be protected from loss or damage, especially while traveling outside the country, and therefore it must be maintained. Generally, when a citizen loses his/her passport during his visit to the Republic of Albania, he must refer to the Qatari Embassy in Tirana, the embassy will take action about it, and when the citizen returns to Qatar he/she must  refer to the Immigration Department to complete the statutory procedures followed in such cases.
