The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Albania organized a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar, which was attended by high officials of the Albanian government, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tirana, as well as representatives of the business, art, culture communities and Albanian media.  

During his speech on the occasion, Mr. Hashim Ibrahim Al Sada, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. welcomed the honorable participants and spoke about the achievements of the State of Qatar since its founding, as well as the progress the country has marked in all fields under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar "God Protect Him", and added that the State of Qatar has been and remains a point of reference for the weak and has given a clear contribution to establishment of international peace and security, and has extended a helping hand to the different peoples of the world.

He also stressed that despite the unjust and illegal siege imposed on the State of Qatar, the country has repeatedly expressed its readiness for dialogue, however, refusing to accept any foreign condition or dictate that infringe its sovereignty and independence, and pointed out that the siege has highlighted the solidarity and loyalty of the people of Qatar towards their country and its leadership, adding also that Qatar has managed to overcome the siege thanks to its good crisis management.  

At the end of his speech, the Chargé d’Affaires expressed his appreciation to the participants for attending the celebration of the National Day.
